Detail Itinerary (10 Days /9 Nights Trip)

Day 1 – Yangon Arrival

Welcomed upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will be driven to hotel. The rest of the day will be free to recover.

Yangon is the economic capital of the country, and the most populated city as well. Geographically, it lies in the fertile delta of Southern Myanmar, on the wide Yangon River. The city is filled with tree-shaded boulevards, shimmering stupas and colonial buildings. 

In the evening, welcome dinner will be served in Karaweik Palace; where you will be able to experience authentic Burmese food along with a beautiful cultural show. The restaurant itself is filled with Myanmar culture, and located in heart of Yangon with stunning views of the famous Royal Lake and Shwe Dagon Pagoda.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2 – Yangon City Tour & Boat Trip

After breakfast at hotel, we will visit the sacred Shwedagon pagoda – the most prominent monument in Yangon. Then we visit the Sule Pagoda to Chinese Town, where we have chance to enjoy exotic streets of Yangon downtown and British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, Inland Water Buildings. We will then move to Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda’s to see the 70-m long reclining Buddha and Myanmar’s holiest monument.

In the afternoon, we visit Thanlyin, home of two splendid pagodas: the Kyaikkauk Pagoda and Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda, situated on Island. Firstly, we walk cross the Thanlyin Bridge to visit the Kyakikkauk Pagoda, seeing daily life of the local people in the Kyauktan market then take boat to Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 3 – Yangon to Inle Lake

Transfer for your morning flight to Heho. Upon arrival, transfer to your resort by road and by private boat. Highlight today features an inspiring boat ride on Inle Lake. Discover its calm serenity, still waters and colourful brush strokes of floating vegetation and slow moving fishing canoes.

With rolling high hills hug the lake on all sides, Inle’s shore and islands host 17 villages on stilts, mostly inhabited by the Intha people.

Enjoy spectacular scenery and observe the the local fishermen’s unique rowing technique. Visit the enchanting floating gardens, a teeming rotational market and an Intha village, as well as Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. Dinner and accommodations at AUREUM INLE RESORT.

Day 4 – Inle Lake (Indein)

This morning, enjoy a boat trip to the western shore of Inle for a visit of the Indein Temple Complex. Located on the shore of the lake, this site consists of hundreds of crumbling and atmospheric groups of ancient pagodas hidden by overgrown trees and shrubs.

Enjoy lunch at the Inle Lake local restaurant before returning to your resort. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to relax and soak up Inle’s stunning natural beauty.

Day 5 – Inle / Mandaly (Min Gun)

Transfer for your morning flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, travel upriver by boat to Mingun offering views of river life, fishing villages and market boats. Explore the ruins of the vast Mingun Paya. Hsinbyume Paya and Mingun Bell. Constructed in 1808 and weighing 90 tons, it is claimed to be the largest bell in the world.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Return to Mandalay by river board and check-in at RUPAR MANDALAR RESORT. Dinner is served at the hotel.

Day 6 – Mandaly

Today’s tour features the last capital of royal Burma. Considered the cultural and spiritual centre of Myanmar, Mandalay and neighboring Sagaing is home to over 60% of the country’s monks, while artisans of Mandalay continue to turn out the finest crafts in Myanmar.

In the morning, head to Amarapura, also a former royal capital, and visit Mahagandayon Monastery to observe monks line up to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists. Take a stroll on U Bein Bridge, a picturesque teak bridge which extends over one kilometre across Taungthaman Lake before returning to Mandalay City. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

This afternoon, visit Mahamuni Paya, Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Teak Monastery), Kuthodaw Paya, known also as “the world’s biggest book”; and Shwe Kyin Old Monastery.

Day 7 – Mandaly  –  Yandabo Village (76 MILES)  – Bagan (Boat Trip)

Embarkation time is 09:00 at Shwe Kyat Yatt Jetty (Mandalay). Welcome Drink and briefing. Cruising downstream to Yandabo Village. Sightseeing about an hour at Yandabo Village. Dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. We can see the process of making pottery in various stages. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Burma. Back to the board and cast off. Lunch and Dinner on board. Moor overnight on board near Chindwin confluence.

Day 8 – Yandabo Village – (63 MILES) Bagan (Boat Trip)

In the morning, continue sailing downstream and arrive to Bagan Jetty round about 09:30 am. Disembark from board. then proceed by car visit the city’s most revered temples, monuments and palaces that include Shwezigon Paya (1090 A.D.), Gubyaukhyi Temple at Wetkyi-Inn (1468 A.D.), AnanDa Pahto (1105 A.D.), Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba (1113 A.D), Manuha Temple (1059 A.D), and Shwesandaw Paya (1057 A.D).

We will then have an exotic horse cart riding, we will go to one of the biggest temple in Bagan: Nan Paya pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby. The most amazing bonus of this day trip is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan the ShweSandaw pagoda. Day 9 – Bagan – Popa Sightseeing

After an early breakfast at hotel,Visit to the busy Nyang U Market in Old Bagan and then drive to Mt.Popa (about 1:15 hours). Mt.Popa is an extinct vocalno and also known as the home of 37 Myanmar Nats. Mt.Popa area is like the oasic in the dry region of Myanmar. On arrival of Mt.Popa we visit the shrine of 37 Nats. Then have to go up over 700 steps to reach the top of table-mountain. On the way back to Bagan, we can visit the farms beside the road to see how to produce the brown sugar from palm juice, penut oil, and sesame. Overnight in Aureum Palace Bagan.

Day 10 – Depart Bagan to Yangon (International Departure)

After Breakfast Transfer to Nyaung U Airport for your departure flight onward. to the airport for a morning flight back to Yangon. On arrival, we will be free in good time to connect the homeward flight. Tour ends.
